      Had a party recently. Set up a Thuringer taste test, yours,Wenzel Farms, and Amana. A dozen tasters. All 3 were judged to be similar in tase&mouth feel. To make an outstanding T you need to add and/or increase the ground mustard seed and/or black pepper corn halves. Fritz Berneggar made best T ever. Since Bill was president of Hillshire you should have a good idea what Fritz's formula was, and be able to duplicate it.

      I’ve been a huge fan of Fred Busch Summer Sausage since I was a kid taking lunch to school - every day, a summer sausage sandwich. I’m 63 now and don’t live in Chicagoland anymore, so I am thrilled that Silver Creek ships this to me for a very reasonable price. The quality is still outstanding. I just wish I had a slicer to slice it like they do at Jewel.

      Absolutely EXCELLENT! Just like I remember as a kid in the 60's! Will be buying more!!! Found Silver Creek on a Google search. Compared to a bunch of others and picked them! Wise decision! Summer sausage does not come better than this!!

      Brings back memories at my grandfathers store in Chicago. Hard roll, American cheese, mayonnaise ,Busch summer sausage and a ice cold old style beer. Jays potato chips too.
