Luxemburg sausage
Although I'm not Luxemburg I have been enjoying this sausage since I was a child back in the 1950's & will keep enjoying it for as long as I'm able. Thank you Silver Creek,

Just as I remember it
Luxemburg sausage has been a Meyer family tradition for decades. My paternal grandparents, who had 14 children, used to buy it from Busch Sausage back in the 1920's. The entire family loved it and they passed that love down from generation to generation. I haven't had the sausage in years until I found it available @ Silver Creek Specialty Meats recently and I couldn't be more thrilled. It tastes just like I remember it. Our family has always boiled it, peeled it, and then eaten it. Not sure if others do the same, but try it - you'll like it.

Good but not like I used to get
So we always had someone get Luxembourg sausage for us from Chicago. I struggled to find who would ship the memories. This is good but what we used to get was a little "drier" meaning it was hung for some time before it was sold. This has the tastes but not as defined and aged appropriately. Good stuff, though, and great price as well.

Luxembourg sausage brings back Memories
I am so happy that Silver Creek sells Fred Busch products! When we moved from Illinois to Arizona, I was worried I would not find my favorite sausage again! So happy to find it, brings back so many memories. I even send a couple links to my family back in Illinois for their Christmas Eve celebration every year. Thank You Silver Creek!!!

Finally, Luxemburg sausage found
My taste buds are happy that I found your website. It's a taste from my youth that I thought was long gone. My mom used to buy Luxemburg sausage at a local grocery that is still owned by the same family, but it's no longer a grocery. I never knew who produced the sausage, only the name of it. I have fond memories of my father and I enjoying it together.

That Long ??
Found your web site and started ordering your Luxemburg since 2007 ... have not stopped since. Grew up with this sausage ... still brings that youthful smile to my face when eating it ... time has not changed that taste.

Where is the taste
I remember when I was young, (I am 69 now). My mother went to Busch Sausage on Milwaukee Ave just south of 6 corners. I remember the smell and the taste. My wife didn't like cooking it because of the smell. I ordered one this time and my wife cooked it and there was no smell. The taste wasn't as strong as I remember it. What happened? Did I get older Did you change the product. Gosh I miss those days and the smells of growing up.

California dreaming Chicago!
You can take the girl out of the Midwest, but not the foods she's accustomed to. So glad I found Silver Creek Specialty Meats. Luxenburg sausages are the best!!! Just takes a minute to order and a few days later I'm transported to my Midwest flavor fest biting into this great sausage. Keep up the good work and continue having Luxenburgs available to gals like me - California is great, but they haven't a clue what great sausages are made in Wisconsin!
